Miami HEAT Star Welcomes Back Carnival Mentoring Students

In September Miami HEAT basketball star Shane Battier helped welcome new and returning Carnival Scholarship & Mentoring Program students back for the year. Battier spoke about his own challenges and aspirations as a child leading up to his career in the NBA, including his secrets to success. Number-one on his list: be nice. Each month the program invites speakers from a variety of fields who motivate and inspire both the students and their Carnival Cruise Lines and Carnival Corporation mentors through their own stories and experiences.
